Swapping picture and category in a URL

Greetings,

I *love* the functionality in piwigo. Thanks to the team who created it!

I do have one question, though: I'm trying to rearrange the items in an SEO-friendly URL for piwigo. In US English, at least, it'd be more natural to have a URL such as:

Code:

http://example.com/category/cat-name/picture/some-pic-id

where cat-name is the name/id of an album, depending upon the setting of 'category_url_style', and some-pic-id is a picture's id or name, depending upon the setting of 'picture_url_style'. In other words, picture and category ought to be swapped.

Ideally, piwigo's URL format would look something like:

http://example.com/some-cat-name for a full album, or
http://example.com/some-cat-name/some-pic-id for a specific picture

Is this easy-ish without hacking a bunch of places throughout the source? I happen to be running it on nginx.

thanks!

Piwigo version: 2.7.4
Piwigo URL: http://photos.triantos.com

Bumping this after 3 years of inactivity. Any guidance about clean URLs and rewriting them (with Piwigo 2.9.4 and nginx) would be greatly appreciated!

Re: Swapping picture and category in a URL

Thank you, I saw that but was hoping more progress was made in the past 2 years. Has anyone gotten this working with nginx as the web server? My server died a few months ago and corrupted my backups and I lost my config. thanks!
