Create a way to post updates, comments or activities related to the content of the gallery, I mean, I don't want to integrate piwigo on other blog platform, nor I want piwigo to become a full blown blog platform, but a simple way of communicate with visitors besides the photographs.

As a plus, a blog highly helps with SEO, as one expert once said to me, google and most crawlers read your site as a magazine, the more you update it and post new content, the faster it becomes relevant in its category, and blog updates help... a lot...!

You can subscribe your users to updates.

If updates help your search engine ranking, then post photos more often :)

You wanted to communicate with visitors. I told you about user subscriptions.

You said that frequent updates improves your search rank. I said upload photos more often.

If that isn't to your satisfaction, then perhaps your should clarify your question.

Piwigo is a gallery, not a blog. There is already plenty of third party software for that.

OK, let me refer you to my first post, because I don't think I can explain it better
A subscription is not seen by crawlers so its pointless regarding SEO, adding photos is what I do and what the platform already does, the first post explains what I want, you offered options that are unrelated or lack comprehension about what I posted...

I still think I have a valid request, but I'm not a coder, can't do it myself...
