Messed up pictures

Hi,

Just uploaded some pix and created a new album - just the same way I always do. But my photos look like there were "messed up"- see example: http://holte.net/picture.php?/12548/category/283
I also see the same problem for some photos in earlier albums.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Thanks in advance,

Piwigo version: 2.9.4
PHP version: 7.2.10-0ubuntu0.18.04.1
MySQL version: 5.7.24-0ubuntu0.18.04.

Re: Messed up pictures

Hello
unfortunately this comes from the server itself... maybe due to the overload the process randomly crashes when rendering the pictures... Piwigo has currently no way to check if the pictures are correct (it only checks the dimensions and LasModif date of the orignal pictures). So you have to delete the files one by one

Re: Messed up pictures

Thanks for your reply.

I still find it strange - if I go to the _data/i/upload/2018/folder on the server the actual photo looks OK...
I thought that was the folder that was actually displayed on the website - or am I missing something here?

Re: Messed up pictures

I am pretty sure, but I think I need to double check....:)
I am away on a business trip and will not be back at server until Thursday.

Re: Messed up pictures

Well I doubled checked and I was right.
The photo on the server i data/... folder is OK. But when I view or download same photo from site it is messed up....??

I have not seen this behavior earlier. I should also point out, that I upgraded Ubuntu and MySQL quite recently.

Re: Messed up pictures

Sorry for late reply. Work are just "killing me" these days.

As said the photos are fine, if I get them directly from the server.

I also see that some of my older photos now are "messed up".

I think it must be something in the viewer.....

I have not noticed this until now and I recently upgraded the server to Ubunto 18.04 and if I remember correctly at the same time also the php version was upgraded.

Re: Messed up pictures

Something similar has happened to me too, when I moved the pictures from one server to another, some looked corrupted, weird colors, or with a green band etc. I had to copy them all once again.

Re: Messed up pictures

I turned out the problem was on the server.

I have not yet found out 100% how it became like this, but it was connected to Lets Encrypt in combination with upgrading from Ubuntu 15.02 to 18.04. My sites with SSL enabled worked fine, but my other site, still running without SSL, had this problem.

I had the same problem on other non Piwigo galleries.

Enabling SSL on the actual site resolved the problem.
