Thanks for the report! Sorry for not answering in time, as the development is ongoing on github and tickets are mainly tracked there.

In this case the swipe-refresh is just not yet implemented - and currently it does not make much sense, as the data is always taken directly from network and we don't have a local cache for the gallery data. But this will come!
