Hello/Hi/Greetings,
I've installed Piwigo on a Raspberry Pi 3, (OS Raspbian Stretch 9.8 -- no desktop shell), and it works perfectly.
The only disadvantage of the platform is that the Pi is very slow in converting the pictures, it may take up to 10 seconds to convert one. Once converted, the pictures are loaded immediately.
I'd like to run a cron job every night which converts the picture to several predefined sizes, but don't know how to do it the right way. Does the conversion process involve saving data to mysql, or is it only done within the file system (eg. only files are converted and no database information is stored about the converted picture)?
Where is the convert tool invoked? Can I simply run the convert tool from a shell script or should I create a PHP page in order to do the job?
Thanks to anyone who will point me to the right direction.
Greetings,
jackdomek.
Piwigo version: 2.9.4

If you set the image size to the one you require and then set slideshow running from the first image in the album this will convert all of the images for future viewing.

Thank you, that's an interesting solution, but I have hundreds of albums, is there a way to start a slide-show for the entire gallery?
Thank you again for your support

Go to Administration, Configuration, Options, Display, Main Page and make sure the 'Display all photos in all sub-albums' Icon is activated.
Return to Home album click on the icon (top right in Dark Theme) and you should see that all of your photos have been selected. Run slide show and wait.
This can only convert to one size from the original for each run of the slide show.
