I'm considering using Piwigo as a photo "vault" for a forum that I run. The photos will be broken up into Albums, sub-albums and have tagging and I like what I see so far with Piwigo. Does anyone use it that kind of volume, and if so, any issues? At some point there will probably be twice as many image files as I have now.

I have a gallery with 166k images and, ignoring the cache update thing (I use ftp syncing so that isn't an issue for me) I am having some optimization issues especially with guest users. If you don't expect to have guests, it's not a problem but it might be something worth keeping an eye on.

Can you contact me? (it won't let me contact you) I'd like to check out your site and ask about the issues you mentioned. I'm trying to decide which way to go with either using Piwigo or an add-on to the forum software I'm using. I'm leaning toward Piwigo but my other support guy likes the add-on.

Turns out the issue is actually with a plugin called SmartAlbums, so avoid that one. My site is working fine with it disabled.
