Re: Error after install of the contact form

Later this afternoon ive tried to get the email to forward questions from the contact form it looks like the forms are not even leaving the server and are certainly not reaching my external email address.

Any ideas guys as to whats happening ! is there something in the php file that needs changing or is something else blocking it from working

Re: Error after install of the contact form

First, this is a forum where users help users. Some of the users happen to be Piwigo or plugin developers as well. So coming here and expecting immediate help and complaining if it isn't delivered within 2 days is a tad, well.. pick a word.

Second, the message is not an error message but a warning that the functionality used is deprecated in your current PHP version and may cease to work in future versions.

Third, are you sure your PHP version is 7.0? I doubt it, because use of these flags is deprecated only since 7.3.0 as a web search easily reveals.

If you're running PHP 7.3.x it may be the cause of the trouble. Piwigo runs fine with PHP 7.1, compatibility with 7.2 is done in Piwigo 2.10(beta), plugins may be ongoing; 7.3 probably is too young.

Other than that, we don't know your server logs, "it looks like the forms are not even leaving the server" may be the mail is not sent by the contact form, or the server refuses to accept it from the form, or the necessary server functionality isn't available.

The crystal ball is foggy, likely that's why nobody answered so far.

Re: Error after install of the contact form

I am using PHP 7.3 without any warnings.

It's probably the contact form extension you are using, which is 5 years old.
