Does Piwigo support the functionality of editing or writing IPTC or XMP data. Particularly, things like Titles and Captions. For some old family photos I have been moving toward adding descriptions as IPTC or XMP metadata. I like this because it keeps the photo and data together without being dependent on some platform or third party app.

XMP isn't supported yet.

Some EXIF and IPTC data is used for viewing and populating titles/descriptions/dates etc.

Writing metadata back to the images can be done using a separate plugin.

Thanks a lot. It looks like that should do what I need. I will give it a try when I get my setup working.
