I’m working on updating my site to 1.7.0 and would like to get video to work on it.

I tried Charlie’s mod last night but am having some trouble with it. There’s sound but no picture. Found that the dimensions of the video are not being passed to this mod. So I edited Charlie_wmplayer.tpl and added the dimensions manually. Works now but this is only a quick fix and hope to find the cause.

Any suggestions what could be the reason the dimensions are not being passed?

j'ai des avi sur mon site et lorsque je veux les visualiser avec phpwebgallery le plugin quick time se lance et puis plus rien...
les autres extension fonctionne bien.

For those who are interested in, flowplayer should be easily used with Charlies content.
I didn't test it.

I've installed this plug-in yesterday. First, thank you for the flexibility of the plug-in. I feared I had to update the media-integrator to 1.7.x!

My feedback:
1) IMHO, avi files should be set to wmplayer, not quicktime. Quicktime seems to have difficulties to demux avi container: it is not able to read my avi containing a h.264 video stream (encoded with x264) and mp3 audio stream.

2) Tasting question: the border with video_curtain.png is too "kitsch" for me. Is is possible to have the same behavior as the pictures, i.e. according to the layout used? I suppose it deals with charlies.css, but I do not know exactly what I should do with it. I am using the plugin "look like gbo" which already define a white border around the images...

1/ create a folder in ./piwigo/galleries (the folder = an album)
2/ upload your file in this folder (with FTP)
3/ create an sub-folder ./thumbnail and add the thumbnail from your video files (extension must be in .jpg)
3/ In [ Administration >> Tools >> Synchronize ] and execute this page.
4/ Configure your plugin Charlies Content
5/ Have a fun.

I'm encountering the 2nd error:
/galleries/clips/thumbnails/1.jpg] PWG-UPDATE-2 (missing thumbnail)

I have done steps 1, 2 and 3 but get the error. Here are where my new directories are:

piwigo/galleries/clips
piwigo/galleries/thumbnails

It's my fault. This is the folder name : thumbnail

Thanks - it synchronized without errors now.

I can't seem to locate the clips though.. I have tried renaming the folders in FTP to the category names but that didn't work - I have also tried the category numbers.

How do I get the new clips to show in categories?

Go to "Tools"/ "Synchronize"

Make sure you select the radio button option
O directories + files

Make sure you uncheck the box
Simulation
[] only perform a simulation (nothing will be changed in the database)

This will sync your Gallery with the files that you ftp'd up to your server.:)
