here it is, i really appreciate your help on this
At the root of your Piwigo installation, do you have a "upload" directory? (as described in [Administration>Instructions>Add photos, the pLoader way]
What the access rights on this "upload" directory?
Do you have some directories created into the "upload" directory?

yes,i created the "upload" dir
it is set to 777
nope, none directories in "upload"
You have the same problem as Jan Bos in [Forum, post 106016 by Jan Bos in topic 14913] Another install problem
I see 2 possible problems:
1. your web hosting provider has forbidden the "mkdir" function
2. your "upload" directory is not at the right place. Are you sure the "uplaod" directory is next to "galleries" and "include" ?
If you answer YES to the 2 possible problem, I'll give you a method to answer to "do I have problem 1?"

1. I guess this might be the problem. But I installed piwigo via netinstall file and everything went OK. But I don't know if it has anything to do with mkdir
Also if I try to upload photos thru web admin I get php error in upload.php -> something with safe_mode.
2. The dir structure looks following:
admin
doc
galleries
include
.
.
.
.
.
upload
I hope I understood it OK in instructions.
I really appreciate your help on this.
After I will be able to make it fully operational I need to translate the interface into Slovak language, so I can provide you guys with another translation for your script.
update:
I just got a response from hosting provider. they say the function mkdir is allowed and that there is probably a problem with access rights on the folder
same problem, pls. help us.. thanks..
It is not understandable that you get this error if you have any access right problems. You should first get a "error during buffer directory creation".
When you upload a photo, some chunks are uploaded in uploade/buffer and once all chunks are uploaded, Piwigo merge them into there final place. But you told me there were no directory under "upload", not even "buffer". It sounds very... unexpected :-/
I see on the screenshot you're running pLoader 2.0.1b. Are you running Piwigo 2.0.1 on server side? (not 2.0.0)

Hello
I am very confused too.
Piwigo version installed is 2.0.1
I will try to contact you on ICQ.
Thanks
I'm trying to understand what can be wrong.
Smarty (template engine) is able to create its _data/templates_c directory
LocalFiles Editor is able to create the plugins/PersonalPlugin
But pwg.imaged.addChunk is not able to create the upload/buffer directory :-/ even if I write the exact same code as LocalFile Editor :-/

With the help of rub and P@t, we're still strying to understand where SAFE_MODE is blocking Piwigo to create upload/buffer directory!
andrej, when you installed Piwigo with netinstall, did you create the "_data/templates_c" directory by hand?
What's really unexpected is that piwigo-netinstall.php has no problem to create directories and so on. I've added the "upload" directory in the piwigo-2.0.1_andrej.zip but now piwigo-netinstall.php fails.
Still trying to understand :-/

Hi
I did not create anything by hand. Everything there is was created by script.
I'm gonna try to install piwigo on my other hosting which I have at Hostgator. I will inform you how it went.
Could you please tell us which PHP version you are using on your server ?
