About UAM (which is the subject of this topic ^^), I think I expected a maximum of online documentation to help as much as possible Administrative users to use this plugin. I tried to write helps and tips using the most accurate while remaining as briefly as possible. The balance is not easy to find ...
And nothing is forever and will never be perfect. So you are welcome to suggest what needs to be clarified in the UAM's online help ;-)

New minor version 2.30.1 fixes :
- [Bugtracker] ticket 2451 (**)
- [Bugtracker] ticket 2455
(**) The backup of the settings is based on the version of UAM, I advise to backup settings before the update of the plugin and then after the update, when everything is OK.
Thus, if this were to go wrong during an update of the plugin, it would easy to reinstall the old version and restore the backup made before updating.
And if the update is OK (in most cases ^^), having immediately a backup of plugin's settings in its latest version is fine too ;-)

Two months ago, IGraham asked me a new feature : [Bugtracker] ticket 2456
It's now done in the new 2.30.2 version of UAM !
New registered users who have not validate their registration will not be allowed to connect to the gallery. They will be redirected to a page whose content is customizable. This option works in conjunction with the validation groups. For example, as a user will be in a group called "invalid", he will not be able to connect.
I plan to extend this usage to status and privacy levels as soon as possible.

Thanks Eric appreciated

Try this :
1- In Piwigo's user management, create 2 groups of users "Valid" and "Unvalid". And set "Valid" as the default group.
2- In UAM, activate the confirmation of registrations and set the groups "Valid" and "Unvalid" for users who have or have not validate their registration. Optionnaly, you can customize the content of email sent to users for validation.
3- In UAM, activate the new option.
And save the UAM settings. That's all ! ;-)

I've followed your instructions, (and moved existing users to the valid group) As the gallery's only just gone live it will be interesting to see if all works OK
thanks for the help

the 'valid' 'invalid' group thing worked well, two users created accounts without problem

New version 2.30.3 of the plugin with the correction of a major oversight on the new function "rejecting connections if the user did not validate his registration".
Normally, in the previous version 2.30.2, he should be redirected to a customizable page but I forgot to include the necessary files and the user sees a 404 ERROR page ... This is now fixed.
I also took the opportunity to rearrange the various options a little more logical about their jobs. I also added official support for a new language: Hungarian (hu_HU). Thank you to asicu.com and Samli! :-)
Finally, a dédicated Wiki page for UserAdvManager will bet set soon. You'll find a complete documentation about the different options settable in this plugin.

I have a problem to update the new version. The progress bar stucks. If I try to activate the new version after I reloaded the page I get a white screen.
The same happens if I download the new version manually. I get a white screen.
Hi delakut,
From which version of the plugin are you trying to update? Your problem seems to be related to a lack of permissions on directories and files from your hosting.
Please check the access authorisations on your ./plugins/ directory and, specially, the UserAdvManager directory and sub-directories. In Linux mode, you should have, at least, 755.

Hi have the last verson 2.30.2. I don't think it has something to do with the permissions. I'm able to uninstall the old plugin and to install the new one. I checked it with my FTP program. The new version also appears in the deactivated plugin list. I get the white screen as soon as I click activate.
I need to access your gallery with an administrator account. Could you send me, in private mail, the link and a login + password, please?
To use private mail from the forum, you will have to register. If you don't want to register the forum, tell me. I'll send you a private mail and you will be able to reply.
