on extensions manager, a filter must be validated by the button filter, but if you set your options and press enter, nothing happens.
is it possible to make it work on enter press too, so dummies like me stop thinking the functionnality doesn't work ? ^^

Nothing happens because you are already displaying an extension. This is not a bug, it's a feature. 2 years ago, we had only 1 filter on the version. Filtering on the version while displaying an extension was reducing the revision set to those compatible with the filtered version.
As this feature is useful to 0.01% of our visitors, we can consider it as a bug now :-)
It's very easy to change the action=$_SERVER['REQUEST_URI'] to action=index.php but what about the list of revisions in the extension? Should it be filtered on filtered version?

I don't think so. filtering on a version should list all extensions with at least one compatible revision, but displays extensions, not revisions.
(if I understood correctly what you mean ^^)
