Hi Piwigo team,
Rub and ddtddt have already asked me if it was possible to release Piwigo 2.0.5. We currently have:
* news languages "Castellano [AR]" and "Brasil [BR]"
* fix bug on sending email on free.fr French popular hosting solution
* new function to modify templates with plugins (to make plugins even more powerful)
* ability to restore default settings for a user
I plan to create the release tomorrow (saturday, 2009-10-10). What's your opinion?

Hi !
I agree for a 2.0.5 release.
About :

* ability to restore default settings for a user
I still have to commit some new common language files. I'll do it right now.

There is an ongoing private discussion on this feature. In my opinion, restoring default settings for a user profile should allow cancellation if false manipulation.
Actually, the reset button restores default settings *and* saves them automatically in user's info table. Thus the cancel button is inoperative.
What's the better way :
- Give to user the ability to rollback his reset choice ? -> Yes for me.
- Consider that users know what they are when clicking on the "reset to default" button ?
I think it would be better to resolve this issue before considering to include this feature in next release.

I don't think so.
PhpWebGallery and Piwigo were working asis for many years, delaying 2.0.5 for this reason is frustrating.

I agree with no delying 2.0.5 because there are other more important fixes than the ability to restore default settings for a user (i.e. fix bug on sending email on free.fr French popular hosting solution).
But can't we discuss about restoring default settings ? In a new topic better than this one ?

Sorry but I'm not perfectly "up to date" concerning [Bugtracker] ticket 1079. Can I create release 2.0.5 now? Is there any blocking point?

The blocking point on this subject is closed. P@t and I are agreed: No write of reset to default settings without going through the validation button.
So, let's go for release 2.0.5 ;-)
