just one simple question: will it be possible to upgrade from RC3 to the final release next monday? Or will I need a fresh install of 2.1?
Appreciate your feedback :)

As we say many times, we don't support in any way release candidate. I'm afraid you must dol a fresh install. But you can continue playing with RC3 to help us improve it.

Re: Piwigo 2.1 planning

We don't support in any way release candidate... but you will be able to upgrade from 2.1.0RC3 to 2.1.0.
You just have to overwrite 2.1.0RC3 files with 2.1.0 files (database will not change between RC3 and final release)

Keep this point to you, yes, just do as P@t wrote.
We do not plan to change the database design from now.
If we do that, we will tell you how update it safely, but we do not want to give support on RC in production.
So from the announcement of 2.1.0, please overwrite.
Take care of plugins and... automatic update, automatic installation, my advice is:

Build a test gallery to ensure any change before doing it in production.
