Re: [resolved] metadata

1) enable show_exif

Administration>Plugins>Manage, install + activate the LocalFiles Editor plugin
Administration>Plugins>LocalFiles Editor>Local config :

Code:

<?php
$conf['show_exif'] = true;
?>

2) on the picture page, click on the "show metadata" icon or text link (depending on your theme)

OK, so you have to install/enable the EXIF support. It depends on the way PHP is installed. On Windows I don't have many skills to tell you how to install Exif support for PHP :-/

Re: [resolved] metadata

unfortunately I can't really help because I'm not using Windows, I have not "web server environment" on my windows box (that I open only once a month maximum)

AMetaData is not reading EXIF the same way as Piwigo core, and it does the job much better by the way. Unfortunately, AMetadata plugin doesn't do the "use_exif" feature, only the "show_exif".

As far as I'm concerned, the use_exif is useful only to fill the creation date of my photos. It's an important information, but if you have it in your IPTC metadata then you can use_iptc to fill the creation date and turn use_exif off.
