I was wondering if it is possible to embed piwigo in an existing webpage. Via a script or something, that the link is not static and changes every time you click on a different link/photo in the embedded webpage.
Thx in advance.
Hi Darwin,
You mean something like an iframe? Like this gallery http://www.queguineur.fr ?

No, not like this iframe. When you use an iframe like this, the link is static. I mean when you click on a picture the link changes. For example http://www.yourwebsite.com/index.php?/category/1, and then clicking an image makes the link changing to http://www.yourwebsite.com//picture.php?/34/category/1 integrated in your existing webpage. If that would be possible, it would be awesome.
If I understand correctly, you need Piwigo to manage the pages + Piwigo displays a specific header/footer. Right?

Yeah, something like that. Is that possible with piwigo? I have seen it before with other galleries, but I want to integrate piwigo in my website.
With Piwigo you can customize your header and your footer so that it fits in your existing website.

Where can i find some documentation?
For example, to create a theme, read http://piwigo.org/doc/doku.php?id=en:dev:theme_creation
(and in your personal theme, changer overload template/header.tpl)

No, I don't want to create a new theme. I wan't to integrate piwigo with an existing theme in my website like in an iframe but the when clicking on images the variables should be passed to the url. Just like in this album http://www.sportfotografie.us/?option=c … amp;id=186
Every time you click an image the url changes, I find this important because I want to link photos, but that's not possible with an iframe because the url doesn't change after it has loaded.
I'm sorry but I think this is not possible.
If you want to have "Piwigo URLs", then it means that Piwigo is the master. If Piwigo is the master, then you have to give it a theme that complies with other sections of your website.

To bad, maybe you guys can make it possible for the next version. Maybe you can get inspiration with plogger how to do it:
http://www.plogger.org/docs/config/#integration
I was hoping that you guys had something similar. Besides that, plogger sucks and piwigo rules!
I am putting together a webpage using Kompozer and have already set pages in the menu for my weblog, and gallery. Having spent near on 2 weeks with piwigo (uploading photos; adding comments; titles; etc) I then discover that it does not embed into my desired webpage. Just as the guy here was explaining.
Is there a way of embedding piwigo as the gallery page into my website rather than being a solitary gallery site?
I could easily scrap piwigo and simply embed a slideshow on my gallery page but that would be: 1. A lot of work wasted and; 2. my gallery would then lack orientation controls needed by the viewer.
Can you help me out of my predicament...maybe there is something I'm completely missing.
Thanks

Hi,
You can set up pwg on the other domain. Then just to do is to change database config file with config file that you will copy from the real-estate site ;) - a bit trick -

Thanks Hamdi, but sadly I have no idea what it is you are talking about.
Is there any tutorial or step by step instruction for this? I am hosted by Bluehost and have a wordpress blog, Piwigo as my gallery and a main website that I want to integrate into my main webpage.
Thanks

Hi,
first of all, i understand that you have 2 domains and 2 hostings.
just create a directory under the wp hosting,
then download all files from pwg hosting via ftp,
the upload them to the directory that you create under hosting wp,
then make a link to index.php file in this directory.
that's all...
