Multiple Image Uploads not showing gif images

When uploading multiple images, The file upload filter only allows for jpg, jpeg, and png files to be uploaded.   Where do I add gif extension?

The old style uploader filters properly.   the newer one doesn't.   I tested on windows and unix.

in other words, the multiple upload style doesn't not invoke the correct filtering on the local OS file browser.

Mike,

may I ask why you are using gif format for photo gallery? JPG delivers best compression and image quality for photos and large detailed pictures.

400+ Magento Themes, each Magento template includes PSD file. See our gallery!

Re: Multiple Image Uploads not showing gif images

I am not questioning which format is better.  I am simply looking for simplicity and flexibility. Most programmers dont know how or are too lazy to provide flexibility.

A few years back I wrote an image builder using the GD lib and even though I was learning as I went, I wouldnt dare build a bias app, simply because I felt one format was better than an other.  My lib handles as many formats as possible.   I dont like making my users jump through hoops to upload a picture.  I am the programmer, thus, I do the work.
