Batch manager - feedback

Hello,
I have a couple of remarks
1. when I choose display all thumbnails it is not possible to come back to 20 or 50 per page because the links are hidden together with the navigation bar

2. More subjective - I think I preferred the old way when all actions were available because it happens quite often for me to add tags, associate to categories and assign levels for the same pictures at once - now I have to select the actions three times and submit 3 times. In addition even for a single action I have to search it in the list first ...

I really wondered if applying several actions at once was a good thing or not. Eventually, I decided that it was not often useful so I made it simple : 1 submit = 1 action.

But the list of selected photos is transmitted to the submitted page : in theory, you don't loose your selection. Unfortunately, I had to add some redirections on some actions because you may remove some photos from the filtered list. When the submitted page is redirected, you loose the selected list (in current trunk r8450). For example, if the filter is "photos associated to album New York 2011", if you dissociate the selection from this album, then the submitted page is redirected and the selection is lost (the photos should not be in the filtered list anyway). If you only apply actions like "add tags" or "associate to album" then the page should not be redirected and you should not loose your selection, so it looks like a bug.

I really don't like the "show all possible actions" that was previously proposed. I would be OK to propose several actions at once, but only with a "add an action" button like the "add a filter" widget.

It's OK, I understand the problem.

Re: Batch manager - feedback

In a next step, what would be great is that action could be performed in AJAX. This would partly solve the "I've lost my selected photos" problem.

I don't know if you use Chrome, but the behaviour when you change the selected action is really odd ... It works after several clicks only...
