Re: PiwigoMedia - WordPress plugin

I just found this nice sounding plugin and tried it with my wordpress installation.
Unfortunatelly I get for most of the pictures red signs showing me that I not allowed to access the pictures in the piwigomedia picture selection dialog. But some pictures are shown with a thumbnail.
Anyone knows why?

An example:
http://wordpress.preyer.net/?cat=7

Re: PiwigoMedia - WordPress plugin

Hi Alex.

The "problem" is that the webserver at fotos.preyer.net doesn't allow direct access to images unless the correct HTTP referrer is present, which means, you can only see the images if you are viewing them from http://fotos.preyer.net/.

This technique is used to prevent external linking. You can try this by opening a browser and access:
http://fotos.preyer.net/galleries/Lands … Himmel.jpg
(don't use cache!)

Cheers

Re: PiwigoMedia - WordPress plugin

Thanks for your fast answer. Is this a setting in piwigo or a restriction at my web hoster?

I'd say it's a restriction at your web host, since the redirection points to http://preyer.net/noaccess.jpg (outside of http://fotos.preyer.net/galleries/).

You can ask the web host administrator if it is possible to allow requests coming from your WP blog.

Cheers

Re: PiwigoMedia - WordPress plugin

Hello guys.

Can someone test PiwigoMedia with Wordpress 3.2.1? :\

I tried to install it today but... well.. I'm having troubles.
I did install and configure it, but when I click on the PiwigoMedia button (in the page/post editor) nothing happens.

Can you help me please? :|

Re: PiwigoMedia - WordPress plugin

Anyone has an idea if PiwigoMedia is able to work with Foliopress (http://foliovision.com/seo-tools/wordpress/plugins) of Foliovision?

If the parameters of the write http://piwigo.org/demo - everything works fine!

Tested on different versions of WP and PiwigoMedia - no effect.

Perhaps the problem of hosting? where to look?

Re: PiwigoMedia - WordPress plugin

you have an extra slash in your url, somewhere you should write
http://ultras.od.ua/gallery
instead of http://ultras.od.ua/gallery/

Re: PiwigoMedia - WordPress plugin

It does not matter. Does not solve the problem.

Re: PiwigoMedia - WordPress plugin

I found the problem. This is a Community-plugin.

Hi Rata, do you have some details about the problem related to Community plugin?

Re: PiwigoMedia - WordPress plugin

The problem comes when I let unregistered user “Guest” to upload photos.
If you disconnect the plug or change the rules of the “Guest” – all works fine.

Re: PiwigoMedia - WordPress plugin

I haven't yet installed Community-plugin in order to replicate rata's issue. I'll do it as soon as possible.

In the meanwhile, I'll release a minor update of PiwigoMedia.

Cheers

Re: PiwigoMedia - WordPress plugin

Hi João C.,

Do you confirm that PiwigoMedia requires curl? In Piwigo we have a function called fetchRemote that doesn't rely only on curl, I think you should take a look :-)

Re: PiwigoMedia - WordPress plugin

I got the last versions of piwigo (2.3.4) and wordpress, the plugin seems to work, but not 100%: I select the site and the category, then the first images appear. When I click on page 2 or more, I got the error: "PiwigoMedia must be configured."
What did I miss?
