The simpleng theme has always been like this. If you really need it you can customize the template.

Re: SimpleNG theme (aka simple grey next gen version 3.0)

Hello Simon,
Very good work on implementing bootstrap.
just a quick question, is there any way to change to two columns layout? i.e with sidebar on the left and details pane on the right?

thank you

Hello, your theme is awesome. I do, however, miss the option to select the image size shown. Also something to display the original image (in its full size) would come handy.

I really like your theme. One sugestion (or maybe you can walk me through how to do it) --IE7 and IE8 do not support CSS 3, so the display of the thumbnails look messed up when using those browsers. Yes, there are still people who use those ancient versions.

Is there any quick fix? Is that something you can incrporate into the next version?

Thanks.

Re: SimpleNG theme (aka simple grey next gen version 3.0)

Hi,
the best option is to use a modern browser ;-). I don't want to support old browsers, I don't have time for this and I can't test as I don't use windows. But patches are welcome if needed to improve the support for recent versions of IE (IE10).

I like very much SimpleNG theme and instal it on Piwigo but I noticed a problem with Lightbox plugin. I think both are note compatible together. Possible to try a test gallery on simpleng theme and with plugin lightbox activated : http://piwigo.artchitek.be/index.php?/category/37

there is a solution?
thank you very much

Hi,
it looks like a compatibility issue between the theme and the plugin, but as I have no idea how the plugin works, I can't help you much ...

Re: SimpleNG theme (aka simple grey next gen version 3.0)

Here is the lightbox plugin's webpage :
http://piwigo.org/ext/extension_view.php?eid=280

I discover another bug with the plugin RV Thumb Scroller (décallage des images):
http://piwigo.org/ext/extension_view.php?eid=493

Both bugs can be tested on the gallerie :
http://piwigo.artchitek.be/index.php?/category/42

I think you speak french, we can try a session to analyse the boths bugs together.

Have a nice day,
Laurent

Re: SimpleNG theme (aka simple grey next gen version 3.0)

Hi saimon,

I just installed Piwigo and SimpleNG because I am looking for a web gallery with responsive design.

The theme looks great, I must say. However, I realized that you obviously resize images based on the screen dimension - not the active window. For that reason I see limited responsiveness as the photos are only fully displayed when the browser is in fullscreen mode. This is not very productive when using a big monitor as in my case where most of the 27" is white space :(

It would be perfect if you could scale the images based on window size instead. Can you do that?

Thanks!

geewee

Hi geewee,
I don't understand, the layout and images are resized depending on the size of the browser window.  not the screen dimension.

Re: SimpleNG theme (aka simple grey next gen version 3.0)

Over here that did not work. The "stripped" theme behaved as expected, so I switched. Now after upgrade to 2.6 neither of the two works (yet).

Hi, your beautifull theme does not work anymore since Piwigo 2.6.1. I get this error:

Fatal error: Uncaught exception 'SmartyCompilerException' with message 'Syntax Error in template "./themes/simpleng/template/header.tpl" on line 46 "{if !empty($theme.local_head)}{include file=$theme.local_head load_css=$theme.load_css}{/if}" unclosed {foreach} tag' in /home/account/public_html/subdomain/piwigo/include/smarty/libs/sysplugins/smarty_internal_templatecompilerbase.php:665 Stack trace: #0 /home/account/public_html/subdomain/piwigo/include/smarty/libs/sysplugins/smarty_internal_compilebase.php(166): Smarty_Internal_TemplateCompilerBase->trigger_template_error('unclosed {forea...') #1 /home/account/public_html/subdomain/piwigo/include/smarty/libs/sysplugins/smarty_internal_compile_if.php(197): Smarty_Internal_CompileBase->closeTag(Object(Smarty_Internal_SmartyTemplateCompiler), Array) #2 /home/account/public_html/subdomain/piwigo/include/smarty/libs/sysplugins/smarty_internal_templatecompilerbase.php(473): Smarty_Internal_Compile_Ifclose->compile(Array, Object(Smarty_Internal_SmartyTemplateCompiler), A in /home/account/public_html/subdomain/piwigo/include/smarty/libs/sysplugins/smarty_internal_templatecompilerbase.php on line 665

Thx in advanced.
