I'd like to create a MOD that would make a default category, ie a category that would be the home category...

It'd be usefull (I think) to :
1/ choose the homepage, of course
2/ write text in the first page (I think using a virtual category should be the best way to use this MOD) and show specific pictures.

My question is :
Would this MOD be usefull or is there an easy way to do this I would have missed ?

(the MOD would add the categories admin page a button to make current category the default category)
