rotate an image from within piwigo

All,

How can I enable the image rotation capability in piwigo 2.4?   I found [extension by Dsls] rotateImage but it doesn't seem to work in 2.4.

I noticed in [Forum, topic 19488] How to "rotate" an image and thumbnail that there seems to be seme way of doing it natively.  Is this the case?   Also, it mentions there that the rotation is not "quality safe".   What does this mean?

Great work on piwigo btw!  I've been trying to find a good photo manager for a long time, and this is definitely the best.

Thanks,
Dan

Re: rotate an image from within piwigo

Hello
they were talking about Piwigo.com ; the plugin is not compatible 2.4 and as said it the pictures rotated have a lower quality. The quality problem is why the hoster piwigo.com do not enable this plugin
During the upload, piwigo auto rotate the picture acording to exif info

Re: rotate an image from within piwigo

Rotation on Piwigo 2.4 is completely different compared to Piwigo 2.3. The plugin needs a major rewrite before being compatible 2.4. It is more than useful to make it compatible because there is no other way to fix a wrong EXIF orientation tag (unfortunately this problem occurs often, even on my own photos...)
