I noticed loads of spam on this forum today. Reported some of them, but this would be an everasting battle
I don't know if it's possible to add akismet or another captcha to this forum, or maybe using http://www.stopforumspam.com/contributions to block spam from coming through.

Hi EdwinKort,
Thank you for reporting spam.
You see more spam because some moderators are in vacation.
We already have a captcha.
Thank you for the stopforumspam link, I'll see what we can do.

Don't let them go on vacation. We never let any of our moderators go on a break. They still do however :(

And how do you solve this problem with SPAM? I read this forum since 2009 but last 2weeks it became impossible because of many spam themes. Make captcha as on this travel**url moderated**.

I have implemented stopforumspam, on registration and guest posting. I'm tired to see dozens of spams each day :-/

Already 10 IP addresses automatically banned in just 5 minutes!

we also could have used honeypot

Let's see how stopforumspam is efficient first
For now the only spam was from a user registered on piwigo.org/extension (not checked against stopforumspam) and the posting as registered user (not checked against stopforumspam)
On piwigo.org/ext we should force registration on piwigo.org/forum

Great :)
Honeypots are okay, but they don't really stop spam, you only provide the organisation behind it with data of the spammers. It's cool too.

I was thinking of https://www.projecthoneypot.org
Did you test it?

Yes, I've got it running on my blog-site, and it really caught loads of spammers. It isn't intended to stop spammers though. It only identifies them so others can check for IP's.
For example, this is a list of spammers caught through a hidden link on my site:
Harvesters You've Helped Catch:
24.182.45.28 (HR)
77.165.45.196 (H)
72.233.72.139 (HR)
90.170.113.125 (H)

Now also installed one on my gallery site.

It seems like the kitchen and outfit spam is back like before. I have the feeling they are as numerous as before but can't confirm
