Unfortunately this is not an upload button in Picasa, but an import from Picasa Web Albums to Piwigo (which is also very useful, but not the same thing).
mistic100 has worked on the Picasa upload button this summer but it was too complicated to create an executable for upload from Windows.

plg is right
the technique for a Picasa button is ready but I've no knowledges to implement it (it needs a Java/C++/other software which communicate with Piwigo API)
If someone wants to do it I'll give my work

Hi Guys,
I get the following error while trying to use the google2piwigo plugin.
he page you have requested cannot be displayed. Another site was requesting access to your Google Account, but sent a malformed request. Please contact the site that you were trying to use when you received this message to inform them of the error. A detailed error message follows:
The site <xxxx> has not been registered.
I tried to authenticate by google verification method and it was successful, but I still see this error. I am using the latest Piwigo and this is the first time I am using this plugin.
Regards,
Arch
that because you run on a sub domain, I searching why it's doing that

that's what I concluded with the help of another member, but I can't reproduce on my own website :-(

any work around for this issue? :( i will end up downloading everything from picasaweb and upload here :-/

If I say I can't reproduce it's because I don't know where is the problem...... but it doesn't mean it won't be fixed
just wait, resolving bug is not immediate !

Maybe this button for Gallery can be adapted for our need?

Any updates on the google2piwigo plugin?
I also have a self hosted piwigo getting the same error as Arch, "The site <xxxx> has not been registered."
You say it has to do with subdomain, I tried to install piwigo to both www.mydomain.com/piwigo and piwigo.mydomain.com and I got the same error on both.
Maybe the website needs to be registered in Google for webmaster?? Could someone try?
