Custom Themes

Hello, I decided to check out your CMS, and I found it very disturbing going through all that trouble of getting it to work, only to find out there are 0 customization options.

.tpl for style? DO you people know of any web standards?

Hows one supposed to incorporate this CMS into their pre-existing HTML5 template?

I'm looking forward to your reply!!!

Thanks!

Re: Custom Themes

You didn't say anything about your real problem....

We use Smarty as a template compiler and Smarty works with tpl files, but these file could have a .foobar extension it would be the same thing as they are not directly sended to borwser
what "standards" are you talking about ?

Re: Custom Themes

Hello
Piwigi is not a cms. Smarty is our template engine widely used and powerfull and highly customisable.
As mistic said, It's parsed and could be rendered as html xhtml ... in theory

Re: Custom Themes

CMS = Content Management System
involving many kind of contents (see wikipedia page for real definition), with Piwigo we manage only photos (without plugins)

I don't know the good denomination but it's not CMS

Re: Custom Themes

I agree that WP is not a good gallery ; I've tried ^^. The problem is a CMS needs to manage all kind of content : so any files is barely supported. Whereas a true web gallery -like Piwigo or ZenPhoto- manages pictures with a lot of features only for pictures. Wp doesn't have even auto-rotation...

I believe the term you are looking for is D.A.M. Digital Asset Management!
