Hi,
I have a major issue with some of my photos. All photos shoot with my Cannon EOS600D will not show up.
I FTP them to my server, click on "Quick Local Synchronization" and they are add without any issues. But when I go to the gallery the photos don't show up, they are showed as a "X"
Take a look here: http://www.dykkerhulen.dk/billeder/inde … category/4 and http://www.dykkerhulen.dk/billeder/pict … category/4
but if I ask the system to show the original, then the photo are loading: http://www.dykkerhulen.dk/billeder/gall … G_4732.JPG
This is not a problem with other photos. Try see this: http://www.dykkerhulen.dk/billeder/inde … category/6
The photos I upload from my camera are all between 6 - 13mb, 5184 x 3456, all have file names like IMG_4865.JPG
Hope someone can advice

Shot in the dark here...
Could be related to image sizes.
Have you tried manual uploading of the Canon photos? Could be that there is a different path followed in the image processing and that it is not related to the camera.

Hi,
I have manual uploaded the phothos using my FTP program and I have also tried to upload the photos through the admin area. I have just tried to add a new photoset here: http://www.dykkerhulen.dk/billeder/inde … category/7 with 2 photos on 7mb each and still same issue.
Any suggestion why my photos cant be loaded? Under the upload the admin area says no issues and does just if the photos show up.

Here is the the direct path to the photo:
http:// www.dykkerhulen.dk/billeder/galleries/ftp2/IMG_4732.JPG
The one you gave me is the direct link for the photo here:
http:// www.dykkerhulen.dk/billeder/picture.php?/6/category/4
As you can see it does only show a "X"
and if you do, as you does, try link direct to the image you get a blank page:
http:// www.dykkerhulen.dk/billeder/i.php?/gall … 732-th.JPG
Im not sure why this happes or why Piwigo cant show the photo when its on the server (http:// www.dykkerhulen.dk/billeder/galleries/ftp2/IMG_4732.JPG)
Its like Piwigo dont generate the photos and im not sure why. But as started its only with my own photos. If I use other photos from like the internet then its working as it should.

Okay I see the problem : your pictures i way to big to be handle by your server! Try with smaller one or generate on you computer (on a local install of piwigo, with pictures software..) or get a better host

I dont think that is the problem. I use a very strong high end server.
With some of the other photos I have treid they are 11mb and they are working and are generated try see: http://www.dykkerhulen.dk/billeder/inde … category/6
So the issue must be something else, right?

#thinking...
and about the dimension? one 5 184px × 3 456px doesn't work. 5M+ limit?
Do you have access to the server log ?

The server error log dosent say anything.
What do you mean with:

I just tried to open an image in photoshop and saved it again (2mb file) and still the same issue :/
This is so wird it works with some photos but not mine!
I have some other programs running that resize and create thumbs etc woithout any issues.
Any ideas why this happens or anything I can try do?

http://www.dykkerhulen.dk/billeder/inde … category/6 these pictures are from you? So nothing changed in your work-flow among the pictures inside the album!
I was talking about the dimension in pixel

No Thise photos are not mine. Not shot with my camera - got them from a friend. Anyway those photos have the same rez as mine and are also between 7 - 12mb. The wird is that Piwig accept thise photos but not mine.
Might be the dimension I can see that the photos in http://www.dykkerhulen.dk/billeder/inde … category/6
are all a smaller dimension then mine. I just made a new gallery http://www.dykkerhulen.dk/billeder/inde … ategory/12
wher are photos unless that last one are smaller in dimension then mine.
How can I check if its the dimension?
If so how do I change Piwigo to accept a bigger dimension so it will accept my photos?

by tries
Normally Piwigo write the limitation on Pictures->add, but that can be wrong

it's an hardware limitation. Piwigo have no limitations

I see. So what do I ask my host provider to change?

First let's understand deeply the issue

ok. I have now made a test. I used a photo that went out with a "X" and resized it down to 1200 x 800.
Now the photo showed up - try see: http://www.dykkerhulen.dk/billeder/inde … ategory/13
The photo called: IMG_4734 is the orginal photo with dimension: 5184 x 3456 (6,31mb)
The photo called: Img 4734-lille is the photo i resized with dimension: 1200 x 800 (110kb)
So it seams that the server cant handle the big photos, right?
What do I ask my host provider to change on my server?
