Hi.
Does anyone know if this will work with the latest version Piwigo (V2.5) and the latest version of Phpbb (V3.0.11).
If no one knows I may have to try it when I have a moment, but it would save me some time if someone has already done it ;-)
Thanks

UPDATE
The plugin seems to be fully compatible with Piwigo V2.5.
I have installed the plugin - migrated Piwigo 2.5 accounts to the forum and also registered as a new user in Piwigo with details successfully being transferred to phpbb 3.0.11
So this can be updated as compatible in the Extensions list I think.

Hi pewe,
Thx for your feedback about Register_PhpBB. Even if this plugin is no longer supported officially, I still released version 2.5.0 for compatibility with Piwigo 2.5. But it is possible that there are still bugs. So use at your own risk ;-)

Thanks Eric.
I have found no bugs so far - it simply does what it says on the tin - but I will notify if I discover any.
It is a shame that it has been abandoned for development as it is useful.

I did this plugin a long time ago, when I was using PhpBB forum on my website. But I changed for FluxBB.
I did a call for developers here [Forum, topic 18110] [Register_FluxBB / phpBB] Call for candidates but no one seems to be interested... Are you ?

Sorry I didn't notice you were the original author.
Unfortunately I am not a coder and would not be capable of taking on the development - much as I would like to.
I do hope someone with coding skill does come forward as it would be a shame to loose compatibility with a later upgrade of Piwigo or phpbb.

Hi there!!!
I install "Register phpbb" plugin. When i try to follow the first step i take this message:
Warning: [mysql error 1146] Table '*******_piwig73.phpbb_users' doesn't exist
SELECT username, user_id
FROM phpbb_users
WHERE user_id = 2
; in /home/*******/*******/*******/include/dblayer/functions_mysqli.inc.php on line 813
Fatal error: Call to a member function fetch_assoc() on a non-object in /home/***my website**/**my forum*****/piwigo/include/dblayer/functions_mysqli.inc.php on line 160
Can help me?
Hi kalotina,
Register_PhpBB is no more supported yet. Please, post here the value of "Register_PhpBB" field in your ##_config table.
I'll give you back a quick fix.

Can you explain it better?
1/ Go into your database using your database manager (usually phpmyadmin)
2/ Check if table "*******_piwig73.phpbb_users" exists in your database. If table "*******_piwig73.phpbb_users" exists :
2.1/ Go in the table called ##_config where "##" is your piwigo table prefix (by default it should be "piwigo")
2.2/ Look the table entry with "Register_PhpBB" in "Param" field
2.3/ Copy the entire "value" field content and paste it here
3/ If table "*******_piwig73.phpbb_users" does not exist :
Do you have installed phpbb on the same database as Piwigo ? If not, the plugin can't work.

No! Because i cant install phpbb on the same database as Piwigo!

And why not? You have to be able to add any tables you want in your database.
Do not confuse "tables" and "database"! One database can support many tables, so many web applications like PhpBB and Piwigo.
Anyway if your phpbb tables are not on the same database as Piwigo's, then the plugin can't work.

any tutorial? how to do that?
Hi !
Well... I know Softaculous but never used it to install anything. Try to install Piwigo manually by using netinstall process. Read http://piwigo.org/basics/installation.
You'll need to know your database connexion settings like user's name who can connect the database, his password and the database name. If you already installed PhpBB forum, you already know this, right ?
