This is very problematic as I no longer have the ability to create private albums for clients.

Any eta when this plug in will be updated for 2.5?

this plugin is not a good protection : you should use the standard identification system of Piwigo
The author never came back since 2012-07-19

edit : you can also use "Event cats" to create link as an auto-login, so your customer doesn't even need to remember a pwd

i try "Event cats" 5 minutes ago ... dont work with 2.5

no, but Luc Morizur is working on it ;-)
whereas nobody works on Protected Albums
