I really like the SimpleNG theme but I am having difficulty customising it. The way I am used to customising themes is to use the LocalFiles Editor plugin, under the CSS tab. Changing CSS there has no effect however, which is a new problem for me.
As a workaround, I used the 'add <head> element' plugin, included this line:
<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="custom.css">
and then created a file called custom.css at the root of the Piwigo directory. This is quite an easy workaround but I'd like to know if this is the best way now?
Apologies if this is documented somewhere already but I was unable to find it.

Hi,
I was developing it on a local machine, but it is now live at http://tom.je/
I just wasn't having any luck customising this template with LocalFiles Editor. It's as if I wasn't selecting the CSS properly, but I had no trouble doing so with the other templates. My workaround functions perfectly so I might just stay with it for now.
Have a look if you have some spare time. I can give you the login if you need it for troubleshooting. It is just a hobby site so I'm not worried if you break it. I have everything backed up.

Hi,
I don't know what is missing to allow the use of the Localfiles editor. Which file does it create ?
I have added some doc on how to customize the theme with less : https://github.com/saimn/simple-theme-piwigo#customize
You should use that if you want to customize bootstrap styles more easily (for colors you just need to add / change less variables and it will be used everywhere)
