Re: Thumbnail Filesize Limit

I did test at piwigo's webhost. It all works great. Even my large panoramic pictures. I have only two issues hosting with piwigo.

1) Can I do videos on piwigo's servers like I do  on my own (Is it full blown host or just piwigo only)
2) I pre-paid for 3 years of service with my current webhost.

Re: Thumbnail Filesize Limit

1- ask to Piwigo.com
2- [Forum, post 142220 by flop25 in topic 21909] Picasa/Google Web Albums Uploads Dont Work :-\ ask them to increase the memory limit and upgrade their graphic library

Re: Thumbnail Filesize Limit

Thanks flop.

Their limit is set to 128Mbs and they are unwilling to change it because it is a shared server.

They also told me their graphics library has been updated.

I guess I will look for other hosts at this point :\

is there a way to transfer from one piwigo to another if I do?

Yes check the forum

You also could use wamp on your computer and create a mirror gallery where you could generate resized pictures

Re: Thumbnail Filesize Limit

Well, I thought I would offer an update. I signed up for a 2-week hosting trial at Dreamhost.com and I have no issues with resizing or even uploading from picasa (another issue I was having).

I emailed my host again so we'll see if they are willing to pursue this anymore. If not, I guess I will have to "eat" the money I spent for 3years prepaid hosting on this server and cough up some real dough for another host.
