Hello. Is the Piwigo tagging system able to write also in the metadata of a file?
I'm using bridge to adding keywords and Piwigo can read them, but not viceversa: when I add a tag through Piwigo, nothing changes in the file metadata. I can imagine Piwigo allow to register the tag into the database and not in the files, but ther's a method or a plug-in to write both in the piwigo db and files at the same time?
Thanks
Dom

Do you know some plug-in could do that? Can you suggest me?
I didn't give names because there is none ; you have to wait, to do it by yourself, to hire someone...

Hello, I'm actually looking for a way to write in efix data when I add a tag from Piwigo.
Technically I guess it's possible 'cause I found this library that seems make it in php:
http://lsolesen.github.io/pel/
Do you have any suggestion to start making a piwigo plug-in able to use this library?
Or where I can find the php models that write into db. I guess that this library could be implemented in the same code lines which write the tags into db.
I know it's a general question, but I'm just asking to find the right way.
I think this could be very useful to mantain a perpetual order in the library, without risk to lose all the tagging work, especially when you use ftp sync or when you move some files from the original folder to another or when you want see the tagged images from another desktop application like Adobe bridge.
:)
tnx

Hi
you could check the Plugin Skeleton to know how to make a piwigo plugin, and look at the existing triggers with the list provided in /toools and check the core

Dom.
The 'Edit Maps' plugin has a built in option which writes the geotag data to the photo file.
[extension by cljosse] edit_gmaps
It is not exactly what you need but it may give you a starting point.
Also have a look at this
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/8862 … -metadata.
Hope that helps toward a plugin.
