I have just started testing the Smartpocket Mobile Theme with 2.6.0 Beta2
The first thing I see is the change in the layout size and number of Thumbnails.
Please could we have a list of all the changes with some explanation?
In particular, can I control the layout of the Thumbnails?

Following on from my previous post, I have now found that the 'Square' Size controls the layout and size of the Thumbnails.
With 2.5 I have it set to 120x120 and I get 3 Columns of large Thumbnails Centred on my iPhone 5.
(Changing the Square Size has no effect)
With 2.6 I increased this to 149x149 and I now get 4 Columns of relatively small Thumbnails and they are not Centred on the screen.
If I increase this to 150x150, I revert to 3 Columns that are Left Justified and they are the same as the v2.5 ones.
Ideally I would like 4 Columns, Centred, that fill the screen!
Any suggestions?

Hi Tadjio
the new layout is inspired by the Gthumb plugin, and the theme take also into account the pixel ratio of your mobile screen. What's your device? could you upload screenshot too?
you really need to understand the way it's displayed will depend very much on the screen size

Not yet :-) we still have square thumbnails.

which is why thumbnails are so small on iPhone 5 (even smaller on several android devices)

I am using an iPhone 5 with iOS 7.
I still don't understand. Increasing the Square Size beyond 149x149 made the display change back to how it was with 2.5 (except it wasn't centred).
I'm afraid the Gthumb plugin means nothing to me ;)
Tomorrow afternoon I will do some screen shots...

(I typed in a hurry earlier and said 499 when I meant 149 of course - it's Saturday night after a glass or two of red French wine;)

I have done some further tests of Thumbnail Sizes and the resultant display on my iPhone 5.
The issue now appears to be that the new Smartpocket Theme doesn't use the full width of the screen.
In 2.5 the display extends as wide as the title bar above while with 2.6 it is narrower and stops in line with the battery percentage at the top, leaving a wide vertical strip.
I found that any Thumbnail width from 150 upwards produces 3 Thumbnail columns.
Thumbnail widths of 110 to 149 produce 4 columns.
Thumbnails widths of 100 or less produce 5 or more columns down to 18 columns for Thumbnail width of 10.
Attached are 3 sample images:-
1) Piwigo 2.5
2) Piwigo 2.6 with 120 pixel Thumbnails in 4 columns
3) Piwigo 2.6 with 150 pixel Thumbnails in 3 columns
(I have more examples if needed)

I have been doing some more testing, particularly of 'navigation'.
I have tried the 'More information' button and Slideshows.
Slideshows now stop at the end of the Album, if so configured, which is good.
Likewise, scrolling right stops too, which is important to me.
Can I suggest the 'More information' is too prominent? Perhaps it could be abbreviated to just 'info.'?
The 'X' button worries me. Perhaps it could be 'thumbs'? (I worry it might delete a photo;)
The '<-' and '->' buttons could be a little closer together as a pair?
I like the principle of the 'More information' page.
Is it possible to configure what appears?
It worries me that you cannot scroll left and right as for the normal display. This is confusing.
For a 'portrait' view, as for the Thumbnails, the display is not wide enough (see example).
In particular, the '->' button appears on a new line.
Perhaps 'Thumbnails' could be abbreviated to 'Thumbs'?
There isn't any way to return to the 'normal' display from 'More information'.
Can we or will we be able to add Comments? Rating works fine.
History Stats only get updated for Images in 'More information' but not in the 'normal' display.

Have any changes been made for [2.6.0RC2]?
I reported several issues with [2.6.0Beta2]
I am anxious to see them resolvedand test Smartpocket before 2.6 is released but there isn't much time!
Happy Christmas.

unfortunately no, but I've taken your remarks as the top one ToDo: since they are not blocking
I didn't see your sentence the last time but you should be able to add comments!

I have too some remarks :
- the height of the textarea when adding a comment is too small
- about the menu :
- it's hard to distinguish top level buttons and menu elements, I would remove the linear-gradient for elements and only keep it for top-level
- when oppening a menu, all other should be closed

great !
now another bigger request, I think someone already asked it : a way to jump directly to a certain page
here is how I would implement it :
a <select> containing the list of pages, and redirect on "change" event
this select is hidden
this select is focused when we tap (click) on the page counter
this way we use the native system select popup
tell me if you want me do to it :)
