Core files

Hi. I have a question regarding the Core files in the gallery folder. There are  approximately 658 files ( ~ 36 Mb each) in the gallery main folder. Can I delete them?

Re: Core files

Their names are like the attached picture and they are located in the main folder of the gallery. I don't know know what they contains. they look to my like some temporary files, but they are a too many, I think.

What should I do?  Is it ok to delete them?

Re: Core files

Re: Core files

They're not part of Piwigo and they look very much like an attack on your web hosting :-/

Re: Core files

indeed, seems like someone has changed your hosting as a shared hidden server

change all password, especially Ftp and your Cpanel/hosting admin panel
and update all script like pIwigo

Re: Core files

One  last question regarding the INSTALL directory. Should it be deleted or not? After the instalation, I let the directory as it was. Was that a problem? Now I renamed it so that it cannot be accessed from other users.

Re: Core files

Ok. I thought that the folder could be accessed. Anyway I renamed it.

Thanks
