Hello/Hi/Greetings,
I have found installing and using Piwigo generally to be very smooth. As a new user, I have also found that using the iPhoto to Piwigo export extension/addon to be straightforward. However, I have now uploaded photos from iPhoto using the iPhoto export extension on two separate occasions. Both times, I checked the website albums afterwards and found multiple copies of the uploaded photos - once two copies and the second time three copies of each photo.
Is there a setting I can use to avoid this in the future? Is there another way to prevent this? I can go into the albums and manually eliminate the duplicates, but that is not satisfactory for the long term.
Thank you for your help in advance.

By the absence of any comments about this, it would appear that this does not happen to anyone else! If anyone has any similar experiences, however, I would be interested to learn how it was fixed. This continues to happen whenever I upload from iPhoto. Since the users of my albums will all be Mac users, this will be a real problem for them and for me as administrator.
Theories why this might be happening would also be appreciated.
Thanks for your attention.

I'm not the author of [extension by marcsins] iPhotoToPiwigo but I may have ideas.
Did you upload the same photos several times? As far as I know, there is no "automatic deduplicate" feature. If you send the same photo twice, you will find it twice on Piwigo.

Don't think I exported more than once. I created an album in iPhoto, then exported it directly, just once. The upload was really slow, but ultimately it was completed (129 photos). Then I noted mostly 3 copies of each photo, although in come cases there was only one and in other there were as many as 6 copies.
OK. I've never seen this case before. Let's wait for marcsins feedback about that.

It happened to me when using the http uploader from smartphone :surely something slow down the requests and their multiplications leads to the upload of several pictures

Thank you for your replies and willingness to think about this with me. I have been doing my exports from iPhoto using a wifi connection. Flop25's suggestion about slow connections and multiple copies may be at work for me too. I will try an export over an ethernet cable (when I get time) and see if the problem persists.
Merci beaucoup!
