Hi all, first post here.
Just had a major disaster with my server and lost a lot of my data including most of my GalleryProject (Menalto) photos and need to start from scratch. I am looking for an alternative and read good things about Piwigo.
The last 4 days have been terrible, with my site shut down and working around the clock, so I really appreciate any help here.
Here is what I am looking for:
- SEO friendly URLs
- Be able to display selected pictures as a slide show or mini gallery outside of Piwigo pages, for example on my website homepage. I used to do that with Menalto Gallery but was a flash plugin.
- Brazilian Portuguese localization files
The 2nd line above is really crucial, as I have all this pages about ski resorts where I used to run a slideshow with selected pictures based on keywords. Those pages were outside of Gallery (Menalto) pages.

If you find any translation missing or incorrect, you are welcome to participate to the translation effort.

You will need to setup additional configuration settings.
PWG allow to run as a slide show a set of picture.
Just give it a try and you will see.

Thanks for the reply. Do you mean I can have a mini slideshow outside of Piwigo pages? I would want to run it on my home page which would not be Piwigo.
Is it a plugin? Do you know the name so I can look into it?
