"Share This" Plugin - add ability for visitors to post links to your photo to Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Google Plus and Tumblr
If you use GreyDragon, please make sure you are on the latest version for best experience
Note: Google Plus would not pick up image references if $conf['derivative_url_style'] = 1; is used

Hi :-)
Can you add EN description ?

This is a great idea! I just tried it, I am using Stripped. The link posts on Facebook and the outline of the image shows up but not the image itself.
I am using Piwigo 2.7.4

could you elaborate and may be provide example of what is generated and what you would want it to be

Perhaps, I would need to dig a bit more for url params to accommodate all services

Just a test

The above is what the share looks like on our Facebook page. There is a space between the text I posted when it asks "Say something about this" I wrote, "Just a test" Then there is a large space, enough to show a thumbnail, then the link Greenie at Night | DeCamp.Net Photography.
This is the image I tried to share

Normally when I share something to my or someones Facebook it shows an image. The image as I mentioned above does not show up, but the space is there for one.
Make sense? I hope! lol

I honnestly think it would have been cool to make improvments to Social Buttons instead on creating a new parallel plugin
(the only difference I see is facebook "share" instead of "like")

yes and no
current core difference is way plugin integrates into page
Planned to-do: for facebook, use FB Share Dialog API instead of sharer as it is buggy

version 1.0.1 is up
- Fixed support and download references in admin area
- Fixed image reference for images. Facebook sharer may not load picture in preview, but should succeed at repeated attempt or when image is actually loaded

That what I call improvements
Because I have two choices now: integrate your ideas in my plugin (because I like them) so people don't know which plugin to choose or just stop the development and put hours of work in the trash

are you telling me to put my hours in the trash? :(
I am glad you liked some of my work :) and I would be happy to get feedback on what did you like exactly.
and please do not be offended, this is simply called "different way". Look at WordPress, there are tons of plugins out there and some are similar, but people keep making them
As far as why I did what I did - I try not tell people what to do, if you want we can coauthor and merge, and we can discuss this... but as you can see I go implementing plugins in differently and it is not necessarily following general guidelines as I do like other systems out there (past-G3, WordPress) and would want to try few ideas for PWG.
Main drive behind plugin was to test these different ideas for content integration, social buttons were just something to run with.

Of course not, it's too late now.

for me this clearly means you plan to drop the plugin one time or another
