Hi,

I have a main album called "Album". In this album, I have 53 sub-albums with photos. (there are no pictures in the main album). Now, I would like to achieve the following ordering schema:

The subalbums should be ordered "newest first", so that whenever a new album is created in the main album it should be ordered first. The date should be taked from the pictures (any picture would be fine, I do not have overlapping albums).

The ordering of the photos in the subalbums however, should be from old -> new - so that the correct story is displayed in the subalbum.

I don't see a problem ordering the photos in the subalbum correctly, but I have not figured out how Piwigo is ordering the main album - seems that it places new albums at the end, regardless which ordering method I configure for the main album (probably because there are not photos directly in the main album).

Is there a way to control the way sub albums are ordered?

@sport: this is the photos order, not albums order

@eMarcus: albums order is ONLY manual

- got to albums->manage => "manage sub-albums" on your main album and order them by drag-and-drop
- on the same screen there is an option to change the order based on some predefined criterias, but this is one-shot, the order is still manual
- new sub-albums are always added at the end

mistic100 perhaps i am wrong but.

i have one map, what is empty.
in that map, are the submaps with photos.

Now when i click on wijzig (change/edit) and change the photos order, the albums order is done on the date i created them.

Marcus, can you give that a try?
