Thumbnail Compression Algorithm Degrades Thumbnail Quality

Hello,

Is there a way to change the settings for the thumbnail compression algorithm? We have noticed in our Piwigo Gallery that the thumbnails are heavily degraded, possibly as much as 40%. Mainly the colors are impacted. This is concerning because a lot of visitors only look at the thumbnails and do not click the pictures. Although the page would load slower because the thumbnail sizes would be bigger, we would like to change the thumbnail compression settings to keep the picture quality at 100%. To compensate for slower page loads we would simply put fewer thumbnails per page.

Here is  an example link: http://www.dronevustudios.com/gallery/i … tegory/139

Once you click one of the thumbnails the original quality of the picture and colors is drastically better than the thumbnail preview quality.

There is an option under Configuration > Photo Sizes > Image Quality to set the image quality, but that does not change the thumbnail quality.

Piwigo version: 2.7.4
PHP version:  5.4.43
MySQL version: 5.5.45-cll-lve
