I would like to find a way to block the pop-up caption which is displayed when a user hovers over an image thumbnail. I have found a way in "Configuration" to block virtually everything in the information panel displayed with the full scale image, but that has no effect on the little pop-up displayed with the thumbnail.
I have found the HTML which generates the caption, and I can edit it out. However, the code is restored each time the page is reloaded. Also, I would be very reluctant to alter any Piwigo code.
All suggestions will be gratefully tried.

Did you have a look to Thumbnail Tooltip plugins?
You can modify the tooltip, and also remove it...

Thank you very much. That Plug-in is exactly what I was looking for. It allows me to edit the tooltip caption to exactly what I need.
