So you have physical albums: you can't move pictures from physical albums but you can only associate them to additional albums
The move feature works as intended in that case (it doesn't move but associate) but indeed throws an intermediate error: I cant' reproduce that error on my own install but since everything works I think that's only the Php notice which produces that intermediate page
I've put
$conf['show_php_errors'] = E_ALL & ~E_NOTICE; in your local config so you won't see Notices from Php

Thank you very much for looking into it.
Does that mean, that I can't move a pic from one album to another? I will then have to delete the pics, and then upload them again to the proper album?
I have some albums with unnamed insects/plants/spiders, and then each time I find a name to an item, I have to delete the pic and upload it to the correct album.
How impractical.
I guess I must go to the Requests forum with that issue together with a lot of other things that is also not functioning properly. (I miss the GalleryMenalto - very much)
Thanks again for your help. :)

Use the plug-in Take A Tour to understand the concept of virtual and physical album

How do I remove the pics from the album Diverse?
I came here through the pic on the official page.
How do I come to this page through Batch Manager?

I did. Even several times. Maybe I am too stupid to understand, or it is as I suggested earlier, that I have to delete them, and upload them again to the right album, just to remove them from the first album.
There must be a way to make it a bit easier to handle.

Physical albums are meant to be handled via Ftp then sync'ed. If you don't want to do it use the plugin Virtualize to get Virtual albums from them; then upload via the web admin interface and stop using Ftp
