How can you add custom fields to a photograph?

To my knowledge, the core software doesn't provide a way to do this.
You would have to write an extension to add that ability.

Very interesting, ddtddt. So this extension adds tables to the database? I wonder if additional image metadata could be mapped into these custom properties...
