How to Redirect Photo Storage to a Secondary, Local Hard Drive

Hello/Hi/Greetings,

So I'm trying to use Piwigo, and after some struggling with errors with no answers, I believe that it is because Piwigo does not have enough storage on my VM beyond less than a dozen photos. This is a slightly more complex network, but there is tons of storage available on the local device that can be used. I, however, have not found any additional info on how to accomplish this. This is not NAS, and even the NAS info is incredibly small. Any help would be appreciated.

Piwigo version: 2.9.5
PHP version: 7.2.19-0ubuntu0.18.04.2 (cli)
MySQL version: 14.14 Distrib 5.7.27, for Linux (x86_64) using EditLine wrapper
Piwigo URL: I'm running this on a local VM for testing purposes, and is such not available. It is a clean install with no photos after I removed them, and I gave 777 permissions to everything inside the install folder so as to avoid any issues while I figure out the greater issue.

If anyone has any questions as per the VM setup that I am using, I will do my best to answer any and all questions.

You can remove the original upload directory (and of course save its content) and make a symlink from another one located elsewhere.
