"Forbidden You don't have permission to access this resource."

Hello/Hi/Greetings,

I tried to do some updating on my Piwigo photo album today for the first time in a couple months, and now when I try to add new text information, I am denied permission. When I hit the submit button, it goes to a page that says this:

"Forbidden
You don't have permission to access this resource.

Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request."

I have never had this happen before and am totally perplexed. How can I fix this?

Thanks,
Steve

I didn't see anything there that addresses my particular problem. Piwigo is not crashing, it just won't let me add any text to my images.

Please read the exact post I linked. Not the entire topic. It says:

Part 2 Section V

You could also search Piwigo documentation for "error 43" to arrive at a suggestion.

These errors are also sometimes caused by security on the server. Did you ask your hosting provider about it?

Re: "Forbidden You don't have permission to access this resource."

OK, this is what that says:
"403 error page : check the permission on the file i.php (and the other files also). Chmod : 755 folders, 644 files."
I checked that out, and i.php is set at 0644, and it's parent folder, public_html/piwigo, is set at 0644. The other files in that folder are all set at 0644, a few of them at 0755.

I haven't contacted my hosting provider about it yet, thinking it was a problem within Piwigo.

Re: "Forbidden You don't have permission to access this resource."

I read in some other places that .htaccess files can cause problems. I found these three in Piwigo:

/public_html/piwigo/_data/logs/.htaccess
/public_html/piwigo/plugins/AdditionalPages/backup/.htaccess
/public_html/piwigo/plugins/FCKEditor/ckeditor/.htaccess

All three of them have permissions of 644, but all three of them when opened, have nothing in them except these words:

deny from all

Could that be causing my problem?

try it.
rename the files to "htaccess.disabled" or something.
