Hi,
first of thanks for the new release! Looks way more modern now :-)
After the upgrade I now seem to have the same issue as was posted during beta test: [Forum, topic 29481] 2.10 Beta 2 Checksums
In both Firefox 69.0.1 and Chrome 77.0.3 I get the message "Some checksums are missing.". hen clicking on it I'm redirected to the batch manager that tells me that no checksums are available for 11251 pictures (=all pictures in database). But when clicking on the text "Compute 11251 missing checksums" nothing happens.
"Refresh photo set" seems to do something. Also, I can select/unselect individual photos.
Any pointers welcome!
Thomas

film_grain came up with a workaround.
Activate Admin Tools plugin, click on Tools menu, uncheck “Combine JS&CSS”, purge compiled templates. Then generate checksums.

Very interesting, that will help to fix the bug.
I've recently fixed a similar kind of issue that only occured when CSS where combined, see [Github] Piwigo issue #1080

Worked! Thanks a lot for that.
Only question: How come that I didn't have checksum for any of my photos? Is that normal or might point it to some other issue?

I am only able to get 5% of the missing checksum images fixed, before the process fails and I get an "error 500 : Internal Server Error" message. Does anyone have any advice on how to proceed?
Performed these steps: Activate Admin Tools plugin > click on Tools menu > uncheck “Combine JS&CSS” > purge compiled templates > generate checksums. It never completes, I get the above error.

Solution worked perfect for me too!
Thanks

Any ideas on the "error 500 : Internal Server Error" message I am getting?
Also, what effect do the missing checksums have on Piwigo? My gallery has 21,473 images, and 18,456 images are missing checksums.
After upgrading to Piwigo 2.10, I am seeing slow loading, and also a lot of missing image icons on the thumbnail pages. I was wondering if this is due to the missing checksums.

Error 500 can be just about anything. Missing file access permissions, bad .htaccess statements (though unlikely if it happens after some run time), wrong server module configuration, a bad Piwigo plugin, a timeout or memory exhaustion maybe? Which could be likely in your case, if your server resources are limited (time and/or memory constraints) and it happens after 5% of the process. If there's progress at all, i.e. less images have missing checksums after a run, you could repeat it 20 times. Or otherwise check the server's error log whether that has a hint. If nothing helps, contact your hoster to find the cause.

Hello Piwigo-Team,
I just upgraded to 2.10.0 and I also have an issue with "Some checksums are missing"
Dashboard displays "Some checksums are missing", so I clicked the message, and I land over in Batch manager.
Now, all my ~1000 photos have missing checksums (which wasn't the case in the previous version, I'm pretty sure)
Now, when I click the link "Compute 968 missing checksums" nothing happens.
Firefox console says (on page load of Batch Manager):
SyntaxError: expected expression, got '<'
in file "_data/combined/1r9dob.js", which is obviously a combined one.
So I followed the workaround from here:
https://piwigo.org/forum/viewtopic.php?id=29631#p174522

First of all, I don't have the setting "Combins JS/CSS", in "Tools" -> "Maintenance" so I can't disable the combination of CSS/JS files.
Second, purging compiled templates has no effect. I still have the above error in the same combined JS-file "1r9dob".
Error occures in Firefox 69.0.2 and Chromium 77.0.3865 so this is definitively not a browser issue.
The next thing is, that when I try to re-create "Multiple image sizes" in Batch Manager, I can not select "All" or "None", the error is this time:
ReferenceError: selectGenerateDerivAll is not defined
But this might maybe be a follow up error because of the syntax error above (?).
Another user has described a similar / the same issue here:
https://piwigo.org/forum/viewtopic.php?id=29643
My server:
* Debian 10
* PHP 7.3.9
* MySQL 5.7.27
* ImageMagick 6.9.10-23
Edit: my plugins / themes are:
Plugins: Admin Tools 2.10.0, VideoJS 2.9.b
Themes: Bootstrap Darkroom 2.4.2
But the above errors also occur when I disable all plugins and/or use modus Theme 2.10.0
Thank you for making this great software, please investigate this bug.
Regards,
mphased

I'm going to explain what are these "missing checksums", but don't worry, it's not a big deal.
Can you (users who have the problem), edit file admin/themes/default/js/batchManagerGlobal.js and line 436, replace:
pwg_token: jQuery("input[name=pwg_token").val(),
by
pwg_token: jQuery("input[name=pwg_token]").val(),
(missing "]" after "name=pwg_token".
refresh the batch manager and see if it works any better?

I fixed the missing images by adding this via the Local Files Editor plug-in.
$conf['graphics_library'] = 'gd';
However, I am still unable to compute the missing checksums for the 18,456 images.
My webhost saw I was hitting my resource limit. They killed the processes that were using up the resources. I attempted to compute the missing checksums and still got the "error 500 : Internal Server Error"
My PHP Version was at 7.1.32. I changed it to 7.3.10, that did not solve the problem, either.

As erAck says, error 500 can be anything. We need a more precise error message. In the web browser console, tab "network", you should see some http requests on ws.php?method=pwg.images... click on it and see if you find any details in the "response".

Photos added with FTP+sync methods have no checksum, that's perfectly normal and it's not a real problem. For Piwigo 2.10.1 we're going to move this "warning" so that it scares less users :-)

It should not (be related to checksums)

OK, this is what it reads:
Request Timeout
This request takes too long to process, it is timed out by the server. If it should not be timed out, please contact administrator of this web site to increase 'Connection Timeout'.
I will ask the web host to check this.

Most of my images were added via FTP+sync. So I guess this message does not apply to me. I have 21,473 images in my gallery. Piwigo reported that is was able to compute checksums for 5% of them. After that, the process kept failing. So when I initiate the checksum process and see this progress message "0% - 18456 checksums to add" Is Piwigo actually doing anything for those 18456 images if it is normal for the FTP'd image not to have a checksum?

I fixed the slow loading and missing images by using the LocalFiles Editor plug-in and adding this line in the local config tab.
$conf['graphics_library'] = 'gd';

Note that mistake occurs thrice, line 283, 436 and 486.
