Struggling to setup Video-js on Piwigo

Hello/Hi/Greetings,

I have been trying to setup Video-js on Piwigo and I'm struggling to get it correct.
If I try to synchronise in the plugin I get the following error appear above the page:

Warning: system() has been disabled for security reasons in /home/hp3-linc4-nfs2-y/555/1099555/user/htdocs/piwigo/plugins/piwigo-videojs/include/function_dependencies.php on line 38

I have tried charging the permissions for the Piwigo directory on my website but that did not solve it!

In the docs by xbgmsharp are not very explanatory about where the videos go? I loaded them with the photo loader, which work, but they don't show the poster.  I also loaded them as explained in the docs,  (see image attached) which way is correct?
The other thing I don't understand is how you use Mediainfo? I have used it on my PC and got all the metadata, but what then do I do with it?

If you think that I am asking too many things in one post I will start a new post for the other questions.

Piwigo version: 2.10.2
PHP version: 7.3
MySQL version: 5.6

Re: Struggling to setup Video-js on Piwigo

I have done as instructed, put the poster files in the pwg_representitive directory and the videos in the videos directory, which is a sub-directory of the galleries directory.
One thing I don't understand is, do you still need to upload the video to the album?  I have done this, but I don't get the poster image. Otherwise how do you play the video?

I find the authors instructions very confusing and certainly not for users with limited experience.
I have many questions:

Where are these tools installed:
mediainfo
exiftool
ffprobe
ffmpeg

When I used the synchronise tool in Piwigo it set-up in config.inc.php in the /htdocs/piwigo/plugins/piwigo-videojs/include directory for all the above tools.  Do all of the files go in this directory, without a sub directory, or do I amend the path for each tool?
(image of host diriectories attached)

I installed medinfo locally.  why would I want it there? Can I use the exif data produced by this software?
Why do I need the other tools (exiftool, ffprode, ffmpeg)?

Answers to all these questions would clarify what I need to do.  I feels like I'm in a fog and I don't know which way I'm going.

Re: Struggling to setup Video-js on Piwigo

I don't think you will be able to use synchronize. You'll need to generate the files manually.

It may not be worth doing.

A much easier approach is to upload your videos to Youtube and use [extension by mistic100] Embedded Videos
