syntax of Piwigo search engine OR transmission of sql statements

Hello,

I got very good hints from the Piwigo community and started to implement links on my major site by using tag search links for direct access into my Piwigo site.

As I'm quite familiar with sql statements - even more complicated over several tables - I want to ask whether it is possible to "call" the Piwigo search engine with a complete sql statement or the transmission of the resulting image id's?

An alternative could be to "rebuild" the syntax of the search parameters that are stored in the search-table - in this case I would need a description of this syntax.

Thank you ... and please keep going on with the wonderful Piwigo solution :-)

Not sure if it suits, but sounds like you could use the Piwigo web API if you are able to process the output somehow, see http://uniformenportal.de/tools/ws.htm
For example pwg.tags.getImages

Thank you for your reply ... I'm not so familiar with web-services but these tools look interesting, so I'll dig into this field :-)

Re: syntax of Piwigo search engine OR transmission of sql statements

As I've to learn the PHP 7.x plus mySQLi connections I also started the solution I wanted to have with the direct search ... I also added the opportunity to search for time periods; another question I've given in this forum - now a text field is compared to the "lowest" year (-tag) and the "highest" year (tag).

The result is at http://www.napoleon-online.de/armeen_un … portal.php ... but the tools were of good help as I checked the syntax of the file system :-) - the thumbnails bear the direct link to my Piwigo implementation.

So, although it is not included directly in Piwigo itself it is quite helpful.
