Yet another batch of changes for the upcoming version 2.11.
Piwigo 2.11 batch manager gets a design refresh
Piwigo 2.11 gets a total rewrite of the tag manager. Here we have the default mode where you can get add a new tag and apply an action on any existing tag.
... then you can activate the selection mode to select several tags at once and perform a merge or a deletion.
A filter is provided to find your tags. Useful when you have many.
The new tag manager handles much better a big set of tags. As you can see from the screenshots, we've tested with 10k tags and performance are still fine.
Start to beta test
Download Piwigo 2.11.0beta2
Please, open a new topic in the beta testing forum for each problem you may encounter.
Happy beta-testing :-)

JS code should be tested on older browsers also. You cannot drop off peoples that are using 1-2 year old browsers versions.
Some of the things from the interface are not working in my Firefox v66 (ex. Configuration -> Options -> General -> Permissions). They are running fine in latest version of Chrome.

Couldn't agree more.

I don't remember we changed anything there. Can you be more specific? (in a dedicated topic please)

2.11 beta2 -> Administration -> Configuration -> Options -> General -> Permissions
I'm trying to check/uncheck those permission option. Nothing happens. In browser console I see an error (even before trying to click those checkmarks)
"SyntaxError: fields are not currently supported //// common.js:146:2"
piwigo/admin/themes/default/js/common.js
Using Firefox v66.
You can find older versions of firefox here https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/
I'm not sure the problem appeared on 2.11 or it's older . I just navigating the interface and found this problem. Then I launched Chrome v81 to check the same thing, and it's working fine here.

Hello,
great that you still support piwigo after such a long time, - fine software and as a developer I like the webservice :-).
Currently I'm trying to get an image DB running (> 6000 Images), but I'm unsure what version to install. The current release produces several warnings with newer PHP versions. Is there a timeline for the final release of Piwigo 2.11?
I tried the beta and found no problems, so far.
Looking forward for informations on the final release :-)

As I see, the developers are working hard to improve the handling of tags. As far as I can see, the tags are not hierarchical. Is there a way to store tags hierarchically in the database? That would help to structure the search much better. See this [Forum, topic 30439] Import hierarchical keywords into the database
