MacShareToPiwigo

Hello/Hi/Greetings,

I really need to get the "MacShareToPiwigo" Extension working. Is it still being maintained? If not does anyone know if it is possible to "convince" the original developer to continue the great work? (It is really cool... just right click an image and it's transferred to Piwigo).

However, I'm having problems using it with Mac OS Catalina (10.15.6 ):

1) Whenever I try to share a photo from the "Photos" App, I get an error message: "Erreur 401: Access Denied". The connection to the Server is ok (there is a green checkmark on the top-left of the window.

2) My father (89 years old) has a bunch of photos in "Photos" all with a title and Description. I need to be able to transfer this information / meta data as well. Is this possible? Or is there any other way known to work (e.g. AppleScript)?

Best regards
Yonz

Re: MacShareToPiwigo

Have you considered trying the remote sync app instead? Its written in java so I would imagine it is compatible with MAC.  Not sure if you will lose any metadata but you only have to move one photo to make sure it comes across.

Re: MacShareToPiwigo

No, RemoteSync won't work. I need to transfer the images directly out of "Photos".

The issue with the Title/Description is resolved. I just needed to activate the use of IPTC Metadata

So I'm still looking for the Developer of MacShareToPiwigo ... fixing the small "issue" there would really make a difference

Re: MacShareToPiwigo

Ok, my fault.... Case resolved

The issue with "error 401" was indeed simple: the user I created and used to login did NOT have the ADMIN Role, was just a normal user with Privacy Level 8. I changed the user role to Admin, and the Level to 0, and I was able to import images from the "Photos" app on my Mac.
