fotorama help

Greetings,

I'm having trouble getting the plugin Fotorama to start my webpage off with a slideshow. I had it set up years ago and it worked just fine, but don't remember how I added the fotorama snippets to my index.php that was copied to the webhost files when I installed Piwigo.

According to the Fotorama website, the snippets go into the head and body of the html file. Since I'm not familiar how php works, I don't know how to get Fotorama set up.

I only have one folder on the website now named Slideshow with 10 photos that I'd like to initiate a slideshow when visiting the website. When I can get the slideshow to work, I'll add additional photos that visitors can browse through.

Any help would be greatly appreciated and thanks in advance.

Re: fotorama help

Maybe I'm missing something here. I've used Piwigo quite a bit in the past, and just started getting familiar with it again. It looks as though Piwigo already has a slideshow built in so when an album is opened, there's an option to start a slideshow in that particular photo album

But on my previous Piwigo website, I was able to have my website start a slideshow with 10 photos immediately when someone visited the website. I was under the impression that I used Fotorama to make this happen but maybe not?

I also assumed that Fotorama would ask me what folder I wanted to specify for the start-up slideshow, but it doesn't have that option. Fotorama is installed and activated, but it doesn't seem to do anything?

Perhaps there's another plugin that I've overlooked for the immediate slideshow when visiting the website?

Re: fotorama help

Some themes, like Bootstrap, have slideshow built in.

I don't know about the autoplay stuff. I just click the Fotorama slideshow button in an album. You would have to play with the settings.

Re: fotorama help

I guess I've always used themes that have the built-in slideshow, but do see that Fotorama does alter the slideshow properties when visiting the album.

I'll have to do some additional research to see how I can get a slideshow to auto-play, whether it's through a plugin or modifying the index file.

Thanks for your assistance!
