Greetings,
I'm not sure if this is the correct forum, but I'm using a webhost to display photos with the Modus theme. I'm starting over again as I've been away from Piwigo and my site for a couple of years, and just loaded a single folder of 10 photos to play around with it.
When I was using Piwigo in the past, I had my site set up so that when someone visits the site, a slideshow began automatically with several photos, before they entered the actual website.
It doesn't appear that there's a plugin to do this. I've tried Fotorama, but it doesn't work to set up the auto-slideshow.
In trying to remember how I had it set up, I may have added snippets to the index file in the head and body. However, I'm not familiar with the index.php file that Piwigo loads when I installed it through the webhost.
When I view the page source of my home page, I see the HTML/CSS that I'm familiar with, but I don't know how to edit this as I can only find the index.php file which I don't know how to modify.
Is anyone able to point me to the actual page source files in all of the Piwigo folders/files that were installed?

Hi,
Install the two plugins:
1. Additional pages
2. Extended Description
Next:
Setup a page with Additional Pages plugin as a homepage.
Have a look in the extended description plugin, there a some examples for adding a Carousel(Sildeshow) to a page.
Insert this code into the "homepage" you have created with the Additional pages plugin.
That should do what you are looking for.

PS:
See it in action at one of piwigo.com demos:

I was able to get it going as you've suggested. The extended description documentation will help me to modify the page to get it to display what I want.
Thanks for your suggestions Ralf!
